Quick update as the saga continues. Went for another check up and doc not too happy sounds like. Even more important I'm not too happy with how this is progressing. Still a lot of pain and absolutely no external rotation whatsoever. Gonna wait another 3 months and see what happens. If not better, do another MRI and then go for tendon transfer evaluation (lats). No point in doing another MRI now as it won't show much at this point due to scarring and patch. Have a feeling I might end up with a lats transfer in the not too distant future.
Training wise I'm sticking to passive ROM for the shoulder and just nice and easy for the rest. Have no set training schedule other than the PROM exercises. Good thing is he OK'd me taking care of things on my own, so no more PT. And again... don't push your injuries!! Get it taken care of. Be sensible enough to give it the rest it needs. Believe me!!!

I'll keep updating you guys on my RC saga, not to keep nagging, but look at it more as a deterrent in your eagerness to "no pain no gain"
![]() Went in for another MRI to check after my last surgery. Sure enough, as we had thought, recurrent full thickness tear of the distal infraspinatus tendon which is again retracted medially for a length of at least 3.5 cm. I.e. the last bigger surgery didn't do shit. My current surgeon has pretty much given up and sent me on to other real specialists at UConn Hospital in Hartford. Going in for evaluation on 28th and we'll see what we end up with. Needless to say I haven't been doing much military presses or anything chest for that matter lately. I'm withering away, but one of these days I'll be back!! ![]() If you think those little exercises for your RC is a waste of time, really, they're not. You're far better off preventing than being in the shit-house down the road.

Latest update in the shoulder saga. Have seen one specialist at UConn who sent me on to another buddy of his up there because he couldn't do anything. Went to see the other guy yesterday, who specialize in tendon transfers. Apparently I'm a perfect candidate. Don't know if it's good or bad at this point. I guess good as the odds are better. He said 50/50 chance of it working, which in my book ain't great, but it sure as hell beats what it's like now if it works.
Tentative surgery date Aug 18th, 2 days in hospital, 8 weeks in abduction splint. Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!! Watch out, I'll be bugging you guys a lot more come August.

I was hell bent on getting back from this shit, but starting to realize that most likely ain't happening. Doesn't mean I can't still have a hot bod though.

Ya staying active and postive is alot better than just giving up. I dont think I could have the same mind set if I were in your shoes. Good for you for staying strong. And yes, you are right. Just because you have a bad shoulder doesnt mean you cant still have a hot body. You will just have to keep it with different exercises.

Surgery now Sept 29th. Have seen the main surgeon a couple of times and also the plastic surgeon he have assisting with the surgery. More waiting time, but this time of year that's OK in my book. Get to finish up a whole lot of stuff outside before being incapacitated. I.e. I won't have extra stress about all the shit I should have, could have done would have done.
Only downside is I have to get off my pain meds (Vicodin). He doesn't want any kind of resistance build up in system prior surgery as will need all the response available for after surgery. Wait a minute, that means most likely this thing is gonna hurt like a biatch.... They said that with the other surgeries as well, but it wasn't bad. I bet they make it sound worse than it is so people prepare for the worst and then it's not as bad as they thought it would be.

It's so terrible to see people going through these long-term shoulder problems. I hope everything goes well! Keep us posted, Sirius.
